No matter the project, decluttering is always included in our home organizing process. Professional organizing works best once we clear out what you no longer need, want, or use. Together, we will sort through your belongings, decide what stays, and create simple, sustainable organizing systems that work for your real life.

 

Q: How long does a home organizing project typically take?

 

The timeline depends entirely on the size of your space, the amount of clutter, and your personal goals. We don't look at spaces with a one-size-fits-all approach. During your initial consultation, we will look at photos of your target areas to give you a realistic time estimate. Our goal is to keep things moving at a steady pace so we make real progress, but we will never rush you or make the process feel stressful.

 

Q: Do I need to clean or tidy up my house before a professional organizer arrives?

Please do not tidy up your home before our organizing session. There is absolutely no judging, no shame, and no need to pretend. To design the best organizing systems for your lifestyle, we need to see your space exactly as it looks on a typical day.

 

Q: Do I need to buy storage bins or organizing products ahead of time?

 

We actually prefer that you don't buy any products beforehand. Over the years, we've learned exactly which bins, baskets, and hangers work best for different personality types as well as where to find them, and how to get the best prices. We will handle all the shopping for you and bring the right product directly to your home. Any items we don't end up using or that you don't absolutely love get returned by our team.

 

Q: Do I need to be present during the professional organizing session?

 

Yes, at least one home owner must be available for the entire organizing session. Because we are customizing systems for your life, we need you on-site to answer questions and make real-time decisions about your belongings. Please note that time lost due to client unavailability during a booked session remains billable.

Q: Is there a minimum session length or team size required for booking?

​

Yes, organizing projects require a minimum of two professional organizers with a four-hour minimum per visit. During your initial consultation, we will determine the most efficient team size for your specific space to ensure steady progress without the process feeling overwhelming.

 

Q: What cities do you serve outside of Lexington, Kentucky?

​

We primarily serve Lexington and surrounding areas, traveling up to 90 minutes one way for home organizing projects. We frequently work with clients in Georgetown, Nicholasville, Versailles, Winchester, Paris and Richmond. A travel fee applies for any locations situated more than 30 minutes away from our base one way (one hour round trip). We currently do not travel further than 90 minutes one way (3 hours round trip).

 

Q: Do you provide house cleaning, interior design, or handyman services?

Our business focuses strictly on professional decluttering and organizing services. While we do not offer deep cleaning, interior design, or home repair services, we are always happy to recommend trusted local Central Kentucky professionals to help complete your home project.

 

Q: What happens to the items we decide to declutter and discard?

​

We fully manage the removal of your decluttered items, including hauling away donations and arranging pickups for large items. If your project includes a large trash haul, we can also help coordinate trash removal or dumpster rentals. If a local donation center provides a tax receipt, we pass it along to you.

 

Q: What are your accepted payment methods and payment terms?

​

We issue invoices within 24 hours of service, and payment is expected within 24 hours of receipt. We accept Venmo, PayPal, cash, and all major credit or debit cards. Please note that credit and debit card payments are subject to a 3% convenience fee.

 

Q: Can your professional organizing systems help individuals with ADHD or neurodivergence?

Yes. We specialize in creating judgment-free, functional organizing systems specifically designed for neurodivergent households and clients with ADHD. Traditional organizing advice, like "just put it away in a drawer”,often fails neurodivergent brains because if an item is out of sight, it completely ceases to exist. We understand how your brain processes clutter, so we don't force rigid, textbook rules on you. Instead, we build custom visual setups using clear bins, open shelving, and smart labels that reduce daily overwhelm and make it easy to actually keep your space organized.

Q: How much does a professional home organizer cost in Lexington, KY?

 

Our professional organizing rates start at $140 per hour for a team of two organizers on weekdays, and go up from there depending on your specific team size and whether services are booked on a weekday or Saturday. Because we believe in complete financial transparency, we do not hide our rates or surprise you with hidden fees.
