A cluttered white wire-shelf linen closet filled with mismatched towels, sheets, and items in plastic bags; the "before" of a linen closet organization project.

We have all been there, opening the door to a complete free-for-all of towels and mismatched sheets while not even knowing where to begin. It is a total "real life" struggle, especially when you are facing the overwhelming puzzle of just trying to find a matching set of sheets for the guest room! Not to mention the frustration of figuring out which set goes with what bed, because we all know the linen companies do NOT label the sheets.

While I could talk for hours about my favorite sorting systems and the perfect ways to fold, the real secret to reclaiming your linen closet starts with one simple thing: knowing which sheets actually fit your beds before you pull them down! Today’s product spotlight is a total game changer for anyone who has ever wrestled a fitted sheet for ten minutes only to realize it belongs on a queen bed while you are staring at a king mattress.

Today’s product spotlight is a total game changer for anyone who has ever wrestled a fitted sheet for ten minutes only to realize it belongs on a queen bed while you are staring at a king mattress. Don't worry all the links are below!

An overhead view of a complete color-coded bed sheet identification system on a marble counter, featuring Crib (green), Twin (tan), Queen (pink), and King (gold) snap-on labels on folded white and light grey linens, with the Tara M. Stewart Professional Organizing watermark.

Recently, we were tasked with organizing a massive collection of linens for a home with multiple bed sizes, including everything from a pop-up crib to king-sized mattresses. To make things even more interesting, every single sheet set was a crisp, beautiful, and identical shade of white. Thankfully, we found these genius snap-on labels that saved our sanity and made identifying every set a breeze. Now, I am officially way more excited than a grown woman should be about such a simple product! Click on the picture below for the link to that specific sheet label.

Why These Are a "Real Life" Essential

A close up of hands holding a white fitted sheet with a pink snap-on label that reads Queen Bottom Right; a simple solution for identifying sheet sizes in a linen closet.

These little genius tags just snap onto the corner of your sheets and stay securely fastened through the washer and dryer cycles. As shown here they even fit nicely on the fitted sheet. You can even use them on your blankets and quilts as long as the fabric is thin enough to hold the snap.

Before I found these snaps, I used a black fabric Sharpie to write the size on the care tags. I still use that trick for pillowcases because I don’t want to see or feel a snap while I'm sleeping, but for sheets, those tags take a beating in the wash and are a total pain to find when you are in a hurry.

How to Identify and Label Your Sheets

  • Color Coded: Each size is a different color, making it easy to identify at a glance.

  • Simple Placement: I just snap one onto the bottom right corner of each fitted and flat sheet in a set.

  • Full Range: They come in every size you need, including crib*, twin*, full*, queen*, and king*.

I’ve also included a variety pack link* since most of us aren’t trying to manage linens for 14 different beds.
