Typically when you move it means living out of boxes for weeks. Everyday routines get put on pause while you hunt to find your favorite skillet, or that box of dishes you could have sworn you labeled and put toward the front of the moving truck.

Our goal is for our clients to skip that stressful unpacking phase entirely and walk into a kitchen that’s ready to cook in on day one. And when it comes to custom luxury builds, seamless functionality behind cabinet doors is just as important as the beautiful home.

That is why we were so honored to organize and set up this stunning new home by Jimmy Nash Homes, one of the most sought-after custom builders in Lexington, Kentucky! From tailored zones to decanted containers that match the home’s high-end aesthetic, we built functional systems designed around how this family actually lives.

Instead of spending their first evening tearing open tape and guessing which box holds the cookware, our clients walked through their front door to something completely different: a fully organized, day-one-ready kitchen.

Here is an inside look at what it’s really like to use our team for your move-in, featuring the kitchen and walk-in pantry setup of this gorgeous custom home in Central Kentucky.

The Walk-In Pantry: Functional Systems Wrapped in Luxury

Framed between top-of-the-line Wolf double ovens and a built-in coffee station, this walk-in pantry was a dream to work in. A custom space like this deserves systems that look as sleek and intentional as the high-end appliances surrounding it.

Blending Architectural Beauty with Daily Function

When setting up a pantry with warm LED floating shelves and custom cabinetry, our goal is to maintain the home’s ultra-clean aesthetic while building intuitive daily routines. The products used in this space are from The Neat Method and will be linked throughout.

Decanted Baking & Everyday Essentials: Staples like brown sugar, sugar, flour, and oats are decanted into clear, airtight canisters. Lined up along the eye-level floating shelves, the clear containers allow you to check inventory at a quick glance. The canisters used here give the appearance of glass but are actually BPA-free plastic so no need to worry about one shattering. We used sizes Large and Extra Large.

Sleek, Categorized Basket Systems: To eliminate visual clutter from multi-colored grocery packaging, we incorporated matte black baskets that tie directly into the dark cabinet hardware. We used the Perforated Metal Baskets in two sizes: 10” and Medium. Just like the canisters, the baskets are categorized specifically for our client. We used the coordinating black labels Holders for these baskets. Since they are metal, we were able to use the magnet that is on the back. However, they also come with black ties in case you wanted that look or to use them on a woven basket that might not have been metal.

Custom Script Labeling: Every container and basket features custom, elegant script labels. We made these with the Cricut Joy 2 Label Maker* as this is now our go-to for custom labels! We had been using the original Cricut for over six years and just replaced it with the new Joy 2 and it was so worth it!

Corner Access with Matte Black Spinners: To maximize those tricky deep corner spaces without sacrificing the clean aesthetic, we added matte black turntables (lazy susans) for oils, vinegars, and condiments. Now, everything rotates forward smoothly with a quick spin instead of getting lost or hidden in the back corners.

A Dedicated Coffee Bar Landing Zone: Because the pantry entrance opens directly to the built-in Wolf coffee machine, we kept the main back counter open and spacious.

Tailored Drawer Acrylic Inserts: Directly below the coffee bar in the top-right drawer, we installed customized clear acrylic dividers for daily wellness. Hydration packets, vitamins, teas, and drink mixes are sorted into dedicated rows so morning routines flow seamlessly without digging through cluttered boxes.

By structuring every shelf and basket around natural daily habits, this pantry became instantly functional, easy to maintain, and completely ready to enjoy from day one.

The Ultimate Chef's Spice Drawer

Custom organized kitchen spice drawer featuring uniform glass jars with custom black script labels set into built-in wooden inserts by Tara M. Stewart Professional Organizing.

Located right next to the cooktop, this drawer already featured gorgeous custom tiered wood inserts built into the cabinetry. Our job was to bring a system that made full use of that custom woodwork.

Uniform Glass Decanting:

Every spice was decanted into identical square glass jars with pre-made black labels from The Neat Method. Decanting not only maximizes space efficiency, but it also creates a uniform and cohesive look that turns daily cooking into a luxury experience.

Keep in mind if you go with a pre-made pack of spice labels you will most likely be missing some labels for some of the more unique spice blends. However, those can always be kept in the orignal container or you can use a black label and hand write it with a white sharpie.

Styling Architectural Details

Custom built-in glass cabinetry with warm LED shelf lighting featuring amber wine stems and colorful glassware styled by height and tone by Tara M. Stewart Professional Organizing.

One of the highlights of working in a custom home built by Jimmy Nash Homes is setting up their high-end features. Our goal here when unpacking glassware, stemware, and dishware is to ensure these custom details shine exactly as intended.

Glassware Displayed Like Art

Color & Height Staging: We styled colorful glassware and amber wine stems by height and tone across the shelves. This creates visual balance across the glass panels while keeping everyday drinking glasses within easy reach on lower shelves.

Negative Space: Rather than crowding the shelves with as many glasses as possible, we left breathing room so the light flows through the glass and highlights the natural wood grain behind it.

The Appliance Garage & Breakfast Nook

Custom oak appliance garage cabinet designed by Jimmy Nash Homes with sliding pocket doors, integrated LED shelf lighting, stacked glassware, black dishware, and a copper stand mixer set up by Tara M. Stewart Professional Organizing.

Full-Height Concealment: This kitchen features pocket doors that slide open completely into the frame for easy access, then pull out to close over the entire front of the cabinet, keeping the kitchen completely streamlined.

The Dedicated Baking Nook: Inside, we placed heavy appliances, like the Copper Stand Mixer, at counter level so it never needs to be lifted or dragged across surfaces. The drawer below it is where you will find all the spices that were shown earlier.

Upper Shelf Dishware & Stemware: Everyday dishes and glassware sit on the LED-lit shelves directly above, keeping prep tools, plates, and mugs grouped together in one seamless zone.

When a builder creates thoughtful architectural spaces like these, taking the time to unpack and organize them intentionally completes the vision for the homeowner on day one.
